We at RCL FOODS are in search of a Route Controller to join our Distribution department. The role will be based in Rustenburg and report to the Distribution Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to address regular operational needs of customers , monitering the progress of deliveries and ensuring impoved route optimisation and driver efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities
Efficient and cost effective product distribution
Ensure driver teams deliver according to mapped and optimised routes.
Ensure all new and old customers are plotted on the organisational system in line with the distribution goals.
Ensure orders are geared towards improving truck utilisation and loaves/km.
Ensure all truck depart on time as per the agreed departure times.
Ensuring balancing of orders placed, delivered and returned
With sales support team ensure customers order patterns are accurate to deliver a precise bake plan.
Daily monitoring and tracking of returns.
Crafting and actioning plans to drastically improve returns.
Managing drivers short and crated shorts
Daily monitoring and tracking of drivers shorts and ensure compliance as per agreed target.
Ensure all drivers adheres to the cash handling procedure daily.
Sign all drivers recon (Vansheets) on daily basis.
Investigate and resolve driver’s shortages swiftly before balancing day.
Verify drivers outstanding.
Daily monitoring and tracking of crate, any deviation be resolved as soon as possible.
Ensure driver competency and delivery time management
Employ efficient route ridding system in order to see all custmers within each quarter.
Ensure that all driver signed the driver bible before they can be allocated to the route.
General
Manage the daily debfriefing to ensure compliance , and resolve route challenges with the driver.
Ensure all reports are done and submitted on time.
Manage drivers and van assistant leave roster to avoid excessive leave days.
Resolve all customer complain and report to management.
